This page will teach you how to install and use the FTP client for uploading all of your files/directories from your home computer to our web server.

FTP SETUP on Windows OS All version

1.  

Download the FTP client program if you don't have the FTP client install on your computer. Click here to download: ftp program: DOWNLOAD . The download file menu will pop up and then click on "Run This program from current location" and the click ok. It will automatically download the program.

Install the ftp program on your computer.

After you finish install, go to start menu > programs >  FileZilla and then click on FileZila The FTP program will pop up.

Edit the Host Name/Address: ftp.yourdomain
User : Your user name
Password: Your password
Port: 21
and Then click quickconnect.

After the FTP client already connect, You will see on your right hand site (Remote site) the folder name: httpdocs and click on that folder.

6.

Find the html files on your computer hard drive or local site and then upload them to the Remote site.
You need to highlight the files or folder that you would like to upload and then right click on the highlight. The right click menu will show up and then click UPLOAD.It will upload all of the html files to the remote server.

7.

On the remote site, You can delete the files or folder by highlight the file or folder and then right click on the highlight  > delete. You can also rename the file or folder by highlighting the folder and then right click on the highlight > rename.

8.

After you finish upload all of the files, open your Internet browser and connect to your domain name: www.yourdomain.com

If you wouldn't be able to view your new web site, please email support@risingnet.net we should be able to help you or fix your problems.

Notes : 

index.html or index.htm will be your main file. For example: Every time people visit your domain name: http://www.yourdomain.com index.html or index.htm will be the first page which will show up.


FileZilla version 2.2.2 has a freeware license. You don't need to buy the program In order to use it.
